Probably the best thing about Mylor Churchtown for visitors. Fabulous location overlooking the Carrick Roads, really good & interesting food, outside and inside tables, pet-friendly, breakfast, coffee, lunch. the list goes on.
Excellent stopping-off place when doing a circular walk around Trefusis Head from the house.

What is it? - Iconic waterside pub
How far? - 1.7km walk directly, 4km creekside walk

A well-known hostelry, but also off the beaten track, superbly located on Restronguet Creek. The pontoon is the place to eat, and you can arrive by kayak / paddleboard / boat. Good drinks and food.
A great place to be able to walk to from the house. There are different routes; the longer scenic route all along the creek sides, or the shorter (but steeper!) route over the hill, or directly on the lanes. Or a combination.
